It's a fairly simple test after all. Just type "marketing companies" in to Google and bang!, we're on top. Simple as that. Or is it?

After building ourselves a fantastic website, we spent many years ensuring that we steadily climbed the organic search results for an enormous range of key terms. It wasn't easy. It took many, many, many hours working on site design, speed, content, imagery, code, links, and more. But it paid off.

Given that 93% of internet experiences begin with a search, 75% of searchers never go past the first page of search results, and the top 3 results get 61% of all clicks, it is extremely important for a website to fall within these statistics for important search terms. If your website doesn't, it will probably never be found.

Don't be fooled, though. It's not a simple thing to achieve. No matter what your website is about, you are competing against millions of sites that offer similar information. That's why Google has built such strong algorithms - to figure out which of these millions deserves the coveted top spots. And there's only one way to get there - play by Google's rules.
